U2's Evolution
U2 was formed in Dublin in 1976. Larry Mullen Jr. was 14 at the time. He was the one to bring the band together by putting a note on the bulletin board asking for band members. Adam Clayton, Paul Hewson, and Dave Evens showed up. At this time, they weren't a band yet and no one was a big fan of them. Paul Hewson does vocals, and was later nicknamed "Bono Vox". Dave Evens plays on the guitar, and was later nicknamed "The Edge". Larry Mullen Jr. plays on the drums, and Adam Clayton plays on the bass. Their band name was "The Hype", until they had rehearsed and played at a talent show and won the contest. After that show, they had changed their name again to U2. They later continued to be a band, and have many different songs and albums. Now U2 is a very popular band. It shows how much they have changed since the beginning when they were just kids at school.
